Currently reading till chapter 1300, his character changed after he decide to uproot Big Family in Beijing, making him more straightforward in killing someone. I think it's good but so many innocent people died in his character development. He even stole Japan's Atomic Bomb and blow up their base causing innocent casualties cause the place is Tourist Attraction. I mean how he can't differentiate between patriotic against other military-politic and civilian? Even China President told him that he is too impulsive. And he only 'hehehe', dang this dude went from civilian to idiotic warmonger. His character development went bad just because this change, before he tried no to implicate ordinary people and now while trying his new power, he decide to conveniently stole Japan's Atomic Bomb.
Author introduce so many potential character (especially female) but just because the pace of story too fast, those character being forgotten in the process. Even when Black Market decide to transfer him from Jianghai University to Beijing University, making Jianghai University Arc worth nothing than introducing someone then left them in the dust. Yang Ziqi, the Big Star that got so much potential at first being neglected and only appear as side character. Even the new actress called Wang Bing got much screentime than her and got position to operate his Entertainment Industry while Yang Ziqi only work as Brand Ambassador. The female soldier Lei Ting in Southeast Military Region being forgotten, his Cousin Ye Qingxue (not related by blood) got forgotten and only appear beside Bing Xin (his main girlfriend), remember that little thief that was disciple of No. 1 Thief called Gu Liya? She is being forgotten while his sister Gu Lijing got closer to Xi Tian. Remember that tomboy girl that want to be MC disciple called Huo Jiali? She still in Jianghai University and being forgotten, while in reality 501 class Arc have so much potential. His Jianghai Nursery Departement Dean called Fang Yan? Lin Bingbing Friend called Gongsun Ping that being saved by MC from forced marriage? His Jianghai Teacher called Han Qinqing that used him to act like a fake boyfriend and introduced to his family? Tang Yan the Basketball Manager? Li Yu the Lawyer in amnesia Arc? And much more...
He is to stupid, to think that he spend more than 200,000 low grade spirit stone, 3 high level spirit weapons, and 100 million Spirit Gathering Pills on Fire Bead just to have bidding war with someone. The original price is even lower than what he bid, it only cost around 50,000 low grade spirit stone.
When the story reached King Qi City, it become lame as too much time skip happen when MC refining or doing alchemy. Not as adventurous as before. Moreover the POV also changing around 3 people (MC, King Qi, and Cao Yaqian/Bishop Cao). MC spend more than 3 years doing Alchemy and Refining after reaching Heaven 5 Step 4 Cauldron, cause at Lower Realm he basically can kill everyone below Level 5 instantly. After reaching Lower Realm he even forget about Yun Miao that got taken by a Nun as a disciple and told Lin Bingbing that she will back after 20 years. At first MC mad and can't wait for 20 years, but here he even forget about her and spend more than 4 years in King Qi City. He also not that interested in other women except on Earth. Many potential woman introduced in Lower Realm but only Zhao Yushu that MC declare as his woman. Xiao Qin that declare he is his husband and Liu Shishi that secretly like him only act as his secreatary not having relationship with him. His first goal when reaching Lower Realm to gain information about his Father also changed because his God Brother, Ma Yongzhen left him with no information.
When the story reached chapter 2700, it keep changing POV around his subordinate. And I hate why author keep making Wen Ya or now called as Shui Nu keep alive. The author keep making 'The Art of Hatred' like some sort of godly technique that valued 'overpower' even in Middle Realm. This is the only antagonist that has longest time being alive aside than Tan Lang, his rival. Wen Ya is his Ex-Girlfriend, usually in other novel the Ex-Girlfriend will be forgotten after MC meet other girl and keep progressing. But this bitch keep appearing even after MC arrived in Middle Realm.

Holy shit this is long read, i stopped read this at around 9k in lnmtl, your typical grinding mc, he keep chasing his family from earth to lower spirit world, to middle spirit world, to upper spirit world (actually only 1 spirit world but got shattered to 3), then to immortal world (the twist is his father actually immortal and the xia family through the story is not actually his family). The good thing is he have rival (Tan Lang) who got development (like naruto & sasuke I'm not gonna lie). Actually decent story I says.
By chasing his family i mean is his parent and harem, not the xia family.
Also, the romance part only heavy at the earth and early part of spirit world arc, then he only grinding to become stronger. His parent and harem got yeeted to the immortal world by some unkown entity (this is essentially plot starter so the story could go out of the earth political stage, also this novel actually got suspended once by the government lol)
The earth arc is basically your typical urban style where alot of face slapping , japan and west = animal, and the like
