Author is claiming that the “disaster”(cthulhu) was summoned because Tang Chen (mc) tricked tang San into believing that there was a disaster from a different dimension and then the world consciousness made it a reality; but if that’s the case then it should also have to summon God and/or Buddha too since mc also convinced tangsan that he (mc) was just a messenger for the aforementioned deity(s) right?
Anyone else way more interested in the DD2 arc then the original plot line?
Ok the Jesus thing was some shitty, ill conceived bullshit and the story has gotten progressively weird? Also using the “world consciousness “ as a cute all for why the plot is so random isn’t doing it for me. I’ll probably give it another couple chapters and then drop it. It’s not as bad as everyone is saying so far but it’s definitely not my cup of tea

Although I’m not super religious , I did grow up in a super Christian household; and so reading mc straight up pretend to be Jesus just to play with qian renxue is fairly off putting to say the least.
And before anyone says it, ik it’s just a DD fanfic and that a fair number of fanfics include protagonists who pretend to be or are styled after a western “god of light”, but it’s just something in me that feels a bit uncomfortable about the blatant copy of Christ’s taking of 12 disciples, his prophesied death and resurrection for the sins of the world, then the crown of thorns and everything else put together. Of course I can also be reading way too into this all too
This novel sucks so badly damn! I can't explain it but it just sucks. Read at least 20 chapters in and you should understand why.
