As far as Hollywood novels go, it is really hard to enjoy this one, at least up to chapter 540 or so because it tries its best to deny lots of characteristic of the genre. For example, the MC, beside having a weird fetish for older women (at least it is not for lolis like in the other novel by the same writer), gets himself involved with several non-famous fictitious characters while making a point of snubbing most hot female celebs. Yeah, he has a non-celeb older women harem in a Hollywood novel, for real. Beside that, he spends years without getting directly involved with movies (it is more the management of a big Hollywood corp) and we get to see several eye rolling episodes of him avoiding to make a lot of money for silly made up business world reasons, behaving as if his enterprises would not enjoy the backing of the USA government in its world wide expansion, or just wasting money randomly. There are some annoying examples of almost everything that the mc buys is overpriced by the standards of the time that the deal is made and whatever he sells is underpriced.
