This definitely need a better summary, basically he’s from a line of two aristocratic or noble wizard of families but his dads(the English line) was full of dumb guns but reached an agreement with their neighbors a branch of an also powerful eastern wizarding family who didn’t have a bunch of dumb guns, but anyways, the Mac discovers his lineage at Hogwarts and through helgas old portrait he unlocks mysteries related to the founders and studies magic in some of the earlier arcs, I fell off sometime in the 200-300’s but yeah there’s also plot lines with world finances and setting up investment companies and scouting/using his dads connections as a university professor, also I might be wrong but Johanne Rowling was a dumb gun (squib is the official but dumb guns the direct Chinese translation used in all fanfic machine translations like nick lemay instead of nicholas flamel ) who was working as a wizard x muggle gov. Cooperation where the squibs/dumb guns would bring tech and be trained as the mugggle experts on the team using muggle spy gear to kill idk rebellious wizzards etc. they’d also have their memory wiped but I think maybe Joanne was a muggle I can’t remember but the way they acted I’m 90% certain she was a muggle secret service that was a cool piece of world building which I think was from this fanfic, also dumbledore and other people are like okay you can publish this childrens book(that’s how the Mac and Joanne spend a vacation she’s spying on Harry potters life like a total creep wanting to write a book based on her life as a secret service x wizard (ministry of magic) task force/dept. and the MC decided to step in out of interest but also to try and popularize the concepts of wizards because back in our world people dressed up went to whole conventions in costume fmdown the street, played quidditch etc. and it was just a book, so make that book/recreate the Harry Potter world hype and it could easily help disguise when wizards slip up or talk about quidditch etc. and dumbledore was like that’s smart… anyways and he gets in through the ministry’s acquiescense

4. Ahh yes this is the fanfic I was looking for ! (I do hope they follow up in this novel storyline even if it’s just mentioning the letter exchanges with johanne because they could talk about what’s different, what changed etc. but yeah they eventually seem to drop it by the way side but I mean it was going to need to be a multiple year storyline where they come back to it, possibly near the end of the story because it’d be slow writing books alongside the time when the story is actually unfolding etc.)
