Just becoming stronger basically. It's pretty simple but don't let the goal fool you. This is one of those books where the goal doesn't matter because the entire focus is on the journey and the journey is extremely well written. This is a genuinely good book. I went in sceptical at first because I don't like fanfics but damn this is so good. It excels at what most chinese books absolute crash at which is character writing. The mindgames and intrique between everyone is the most entertaining part of the book imo, I highly recommend this
