There are quite a few things wrong with this novel. First, the nationalism. The author portrays China as a pure, innocent and sophisticated country that doesn't conform to the world, while portraying foreign nations as violent and superficial. There is also a lot of vilifying the pursuit of freedom and free speech. This list goes on, but at chapter 449, the novel turns an entirely different direction than the prior story. Basically, the novel goes from a 4/5 to a 2/5.
Damn this shit is good. Yes, there is indeed an “eternal paradox” but does it matter? You read an epic tale of MC going from 0 to an infinite existence. Its not like “MC woke up from a dream”. MC is legit the one and only “truth”, if he wants he can make a universe/multiverse. Also, there is indeed nationalism but it is very pure. Basically MC is not racist, not face slapping, not cringe, MC just wants his country to grow. He gives the country the tech and papers, the country gives him shares when they make that tech. So you get me? MC is a pure nationalist not the kind you see in other novels where everyone else is inferior and insects and china is a dragon. China went from weak to strong in this novel and there is no “world domination” or “war” in real life plot. Everything is peaceful because China doesn’t give 2 shits about other countries but focused on the ocean and space later on. Anyway, it is a very enjoyable read. P.S. the simulation is not really repetitive, all plots are different and MC has different goals and achieves something in every simulation.
The Nationalism isn't pure. It keeps portraying that foreign countries like the US and affiliated countries are always carrying out shady operations to hinder the success of China. As well as portraying China as the world's foremost economic, intellectual and military power.
