At the start of the novel the MC goes with some clan members to atart a shop for the family. He is tasked with making 120 tailsmins a month. The clan sells a tailsmin for 5 spirit stones. The MC is paid 5 spirit stones for all 120 tailsmins... MC also hides that he's actually a mid tier talsmin maker.
Clan building but there's no building scene and he always open a stall even he was being chase
This become more and more of a typical adventure/cultivation novel as time goes on and less of a clan building novel, also, the MC who used to be toughtful, wise and patient simply can’t seem to get over himself later on, he become incredibly impatient and think in the short term, more and more it’s plot armor that make everything go right for him, and not any planning of his own, what a shame *sigh*
True as the novel progresses it goes from clan building to generic immortal novel style at first you can see the struggle the clan had to go through but later on it's just info dumping like oooh i can go to another adventure since uncle twelve broke through golden realm two months ago like a typical side character that is only there to make it convenient for the mc

You’re completely right. It’s evidence of lazy writing. I see this a lot in CNs. I saw a CN where MC is OP as f*ck,badass and low key but then it becomes hunted down all over again, and MC is weak and disadvantage the entire time. Very naive and doesn’t behave like the wise person he’s suppose to be. Just a mess of a story. I want someone to slap me. No slap the author.
You reminded me of Demon's Diary. Everytime MC enters some kind of new land/area, there will always be a big auction that he will participate in. And these auctions are all pretty much copy pasta, it was so ridiculous reading people bidding etc with no plot twists or change of pace haha.
Funny thing, I came there after checking out 132 chapters of ,,Protect Our Patriarch", and chapter 5 is named after Wang Shouzhe's brother I think. Lol
