A very mediocre work from a mediocre author. Author did next to zero research on the Romans apart from what he probably learned from the total war game. As always with CN authors, China is number 1 and all other cultures can go to hell. Unrealistic portrayal of politics or society itself. Not worth wasting your time on.
Agreed this a mediocre work all and all but when it comes to anything related to Roman it's garbage as if author did not do any research if author had typed Roman war or something on YouTube he would have come across a channel "Invicta" It has things related to Roman Empire and similar empire all of their wars, disputes,plagues famines,culture,govt and army structures and logistics and it's end I enjoyed videos on Invicta way more then any of similar novels specially by Chineses

Pretty dumb thing to say. It's common sense the total war Rome game is loosely based of the roman empire, Author is depicting the so called "romans" as it is in the game even though the game doesn't go further than battles, awful diplomacy and units (some of which are incorrect) Little bit of the novel I can stomach clearly showed it goes past just endless battles so tell me where will the author get their knowledge of roman politics? Society? Architecture? E.t.c basic necessity to depict the supposed "roman" culture? from their Ass? Of course, they'll need to research further to figure out this details, it's not a game with graphics but a novel. You're basically creating a whole new world with only written words, how'd you expect to paint a realistic picture with basic information from a game? But you're way too prejudiced to even bother to think about this, Chinese civilization is great no doubt, but writing off others achievement just to highlight their importance is dumb and childish.
