I truly liked this book. You can tell early on who the villians are but then you see redemption for some of them. The most shocking part of the story was definitely the main couple and it was tragic and frankly p!ssed me off. I'm actually really sad with the way this story has progressed for the mc's. I had hoped the r@pe tag was not our main characters but that was not the case. I understand that it was done in madness and pain but I still can't get over it. The book would have been so much better if that had been left out. I'm not at the very end yet, but this has almost ruined the book for me. I think if you skip chapter like... 120-125 it's almost better.
Ok, it got much better. I'm still unhappy with the r@pe stuff going on but the story has a happy ending. This is worth reading, it was slow going in chapters 60-100. You feel like "when are we going to get somewhere". The event after 125 progress very quickly, it almost felt sad that it ended. There were a few strings that didn't get resolution but they weren't the main characters, just some second main characters and a couple of side characters that I wished to know what happened to them. Overall, it was a good book to read and I'm glad I did it. Translation: there were some issues with the translation, it wasn't enough to make it impossible to read but it was frustrating at some points. It may also have been the way it was uploaded. Words out of order or odd punctuation that left me a little confused.
My synopsis. MC has lived a miserable life of trusting in the wrong people and being betrayed again and again, yet in that life finds someone important to him. In his new life, he has lost his will to live and wishes only to hide from the impending events he knows will come. He accidentally saves the life of a child leading to him taking in a disciple. From then on his new life breaks direction from his previous life. Novel is about MC hiding from the world and taking care of his disciple until that is no longer possible and he must both face his past and present lives to move on.

finally I found it
