  2. Kind of an obvious transmigration novel - MC was written as quite a cool personality. She didn’t didn’t really seem to mind leaving behind family and only minded the currrnt life’s relationships. Per the other reviews, the treatment of the second daughter (by both OG Mom and New Mom) was pretty rough. Because there was so little true plot or personality development, I felt everyone was a two dimensional character. Enough of a read if you don’t have anything else to do. 3 of 5.

  4. I feel bad for the switched daughter. She wasn't treated right at all. Maybe it's different values, but the excuse given is that the MC is a transmigrated person that found out the truth before she had a chance to make any emotional ties to the kid. Personally I feel this is weak, as on the other hand she has not emotional ties to the biological daughter either, yet she really goes out of her way with that one. Specially if she is in a novel world, it feels like she is doing everything in order to create a shadow in the non-biological kid's heart which is dumb. I mean, from an external observer perspective, everyone is like 'she's really cold and only cares about blood'. I was originally really excited for the concept here as it seems to be rare for the transmigrator to be the bah fumei mother of the switched child, but the execution let me down.

  5. I did pity Jinxiu initially but later on, it turned out that the kid knew about the switching situation for 3 yrs at that point and maliciously bullied the real daughter. I agree it was pretty harsh how she was thrown out of the Su family. When everything came to light later on, I felt MC did the right thing by treating it like ripping out the bandage. With the fake child's calculating & scheming mind, she would have found many ways of secretly bullying real daughter & taking advantage of her low self-esteem had the rest of the Su fam been in contact with her still. Mom had to be heavy on the love bomb to win over the real daughter & heal all the trauma she suffered esp the emotional & mental aspect.

  6. I got to about chapter 38 when I couldn't take the treatment of the 10 year old. I mean if a 7 year old is told they have a second mom, and then told theyre not to tell anyone because of some threat, they're gonna be gullible enough to keep quiet. And bullying the sister? She was 10 and felt threatened by the huge emotional load her bio mom dumped on her. Of course she's gonna bully the sister the toxic mom probably fed her some narrative. I'm sorry. You don't treat kids like that. I got the ick from the glorified child abuse.
